Zora was born in Haviland Kansas in 1931. She and her family lived and dry land farmed in
Eastern Colorado. She attended Granada High School where she met her future husband
George. They were married in 1950. Before starting a family she traveled with George on a
Harley Davidson motorcycle through the southern part of the US while George was in the Air
Force.They had two children, Curtis, Debi and lived in Grand Junction Co,where she worked as
a telephone operator for Bell Telephone. Later the couple moved to Durango. CO. where she and
George owned Johnson Frozen Foods.
After retiring Zora and George moved to Farmington. NM . Zora was an accomplished painter, wood carver
seamstress and excelled in Computer Science. She attended Fort Lewis College majoring
in Education. She enjoyed spending time with her family and inparticular her 5 grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Pearl Barrow, brothers: Lester, lLarry, Aldene
and sister Paola. She is survived by George, Curtis (Marya) Johnston, Debi (Philip) Craig, grandchildren
Brandon, Travis, and Curtis Craig, MacKenzie,Kea Johnston and great-grandchild Maddax Craig.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday June 21,2013 at 2:00 pm with Lee Fiske officating.at Cope Memorial Chapel
404 W. Arrington. Friends and family are invited to contribute to the National Alzheimer's Foundation in
memory of Zora. Arrangements are with Cope Memorial Chapel 505-327-5142
