William Harrison, 66, of Kirtland, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, in Farmington. He was born June 3, 1947, at home, to William Harrison and Lena Alfred. He was born to Ma'iideeshgiizhnii (Coyote Pass Clan) and Naakaii Dine'e (Mexican Clan) and born for Todich'ii'nii (Bitter Water Clan).
William graduated from Oklahoma Indian School. He was employed at BHP for 35 years. Enlisted in the U. S. Army. He was married to Rosemary Harrison, and had five children.
William loved to weld, running, gourd dancing and he was active with the V.A.. He loved his family and always supported his family and friends. He will truly be missed.
William was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Harrison; daughter, Rosaleen Harrison; parents, William Harrison and Lena Alfred; brother, Frederick Alfred; and grandparents, Roy and Evalyn Platero
He is survived by his sons, Milton Harrison, William Harrison Jr. and Preston Harrison; daughter, Kathleen Harrison; brother, Patrick Alfred; sisters, Cornelia Kosea, Mitalda Taha, Alberta Alfred and Pearl Cowboy; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, at All Saints Episcopal Church, 1257 Mission Ave. in Farmington, with the Rev. Rosella Jim officiating.
Burial will follow in the Kirtland-Fruitland Cemetery, Road 6575 in Kirtland.
