William "Everett" Griffith, 63, of Farmington New Mexico was born in Columbus, Ohio April 30, 1952. He died in a tragic car crash April 2 in Farmington. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Nettie Griffith. He is survived by his wife Debbie of Farmington, 3 sons, Steven Gilliland of Albuquerque, Shane of Farmington, and Everett J. of Pickaway County, Ohio, and daughter, Theadra Womack of Nashville, Tenn. Everett moved with his wife and three children to Farmington from Ohio in May of 1989. He quickly found a church home in Crestview Baptist Church where he made many lifelong friends. He later moved to what is now Pinion Hills Community Church where he found a home and made many more forever friends through the men's group. He was a member of and rode with the local Christian Motorcycle Association for awhile. Everett is known most for his work with the homeless and needy families in our community. He began his ministry at First Indian Baptist Church in the middle 1990's, and then looking for larger building he opened Frontline Mission on Behrend in June of 1998. He worked tirelessly, without pay, building it into a thriving ministry serving hundreds of needy families in San Juan County. Everett was such an outdoorsman and loved to hunt. and fish. He will be greatly missed.
