Wendell Lewis

Wendell Norm Lewis, 19, of Hogback passed away on July 9, 2016. Wendell was born in Shiprock, New Mexico to Diana BlueEyes Silversmith and Norman Lewis.
Wendell graduated from Kirtland Central High School in 2015. He then attended San Juan College. Wendell liked to go camping and fishing. He also liked to work out, he was a Define Fitness Center every day. He was also a coach for Kirtland youth wrestling. Wendell was a kind, loving, respectful son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. Wendell will be greatly missed.
Wendell is preceded in death by his father Norman Lewis; brother Sylvester "BD" Lewis, grandparents Howard and Louise BlueEyes (maternal) and Slim (paternal). Wendell is survived by his mother, Diana BlueEyes Silversmith and stepfather, Gerald Silversmith; Sisters, Sonya and Benevey Lewis: Nephews, Kyle J. Bitsuie, Cassius D. Bitsuie and Kacey Curry. Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday July 14, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will take place following the service at the Family Plot. Reception will follow the burial at Walter Collins. Pallbearers are Myron Begay, Kyle Bitsuie, Donovan Clawson Jr, Aaron BlueEyes, Wesley Eaton, and Kevin Hickman Memorials or Donations may be made to Go Fund me: Wendell's funeral fund, Define Fitness, and Blue Moon Diner.
