Wayne William Stradlng 94, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013. He was born Sept. 15, 1919, in St. Johns , Ariz.He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a well known area businessman who established Stradling Construction. He built many landmarks in the area over the years. He also served nine years as a Bishop in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as a counselor for two different Stake Presidents, in the High Council and in many other capacities in his life. His service also included two missions to Africa with his dear wife, Helen. He was well known for his integrity, kindness and generosity to countless people who were less fortunate. Preceding him in death, were his beloved wife, Helen; parents, BH and Elizabeth Stradling; brother, Alden Stradling; sisters, Karene Stradling and LaRee Bennion; daughter, Sharon McCabe; granddaughter, Kristi Bowen; and five great-grandchildren. He is survived by sons, Gregory (Sally Ann) Stradling, Kim (Bobby) Stradling, and Kennard (Andra) Stradling; daughters, Jackie (Ken) Wilkes, Sally (Major) Graham and Mary Beth Simpson, sisters, Wanda Kartchner, Arlene (Dave) Clark and Kathryn Baca; 38 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, at Brewer Lee and Larkin Mortuary, 103 E Ute. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1310 E. 25th St. (Knudsen) in Farmington , with Bishopric 1st Counselor Jonathan Palmer conducting. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery , 1606 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington . Pallbearers are his grandsons. Wayne 's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E.
