Virginia Faye Elledge, 96, of Farmington , was called home to her heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in Farmington . She was born Feb. 9, 1917, in a one-room schoolhouse in the hills of in Cave City , Ark. to the proud parents of Wesley and Hester Stout. Faye spent her childhood traveling from Arkansas to Texas with her family in a covered wagon. She was groomed at a young age on how hard work leads to success. She was more than happy to work in the "cotton patch" picking cotton to help provide for her family. The early memories of her childhood consisted of washing clothes, churning butter, picking cotton and cooking for the family. On Dec. 3, 1934, Faye married the love of her life Raymond "Jack" Elledge. Together they had five children, Harold, Joe, Wanda, Sharon and Cody. Her faith in the Lord was very strong, and would never miss a Sunday sermon at the little Baptist Church secluded in the beautiful Largo Canyon . Her best memories that she often shared with her family was the days her family spent at the Amoco Camp on the Jicarilla Apache Reservation. She loved and cherished this time. The solitude and family time was priceless to her. Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Elledge; her parents, Wesley and Hester; her daughter-in-law, Jean Elledge and six brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her sons, Harold Elledge, Joe (Linda) Elledge and Cody (Carrie) Elledge and her daughters, Wanda Weaks and Sharon Elledge. She was blessed with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Monday, March 11, at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery , 1606 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington. Pallbearers are her three sons and three grandsons. Virginia 's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington , 505-325-8688.
