Vincent Baca
Vincent Baca passed away on June 10, 2013 at his home in Grants, New Mexico, He was 60 years old. He was born on April 29, 1953 in Clovis, New Mexico to Nicasio Baca and Manuelita Garcia Baca.
Vincent served in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He was a high voltage electrician having worked all across the United States. He was devoted to his family and was always willing to help those in need, but he will best be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. He was loved and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife Bridgette Baca. Daughters; Danielle Serna and husband Chris, Trish Valdez and fiancé Anthony Alires, and Rena Valdez. Grandchildren; Jocelyn, Alyssa, Tony, Christopher, Chrislynn, Antonio Vicente, Aaron Elias, and Payton.
Brothers; Nick Baca, Ralph Baca, Paul Baca, Wilford Baca, Alfred Baca, Robert Baca, Ricky Baca, and Rudy Baca. Sisters; Margie Gabaldon, Kathy Saucedo, Phyllis Martinez, Patsy Martinez, Dorothy Heckler, Tessie Radcliffe, and Tina Ford. In laws Elias Vigil and Olympia Vigil. Brother in law Israel Vigil and fiancée Linda Fernandez. Sisters in law; Theresa Vigil and Lawrence, Brenda Dillon and husband Matt. Along with numerous other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Nick and Mela Baca. His brothers; Max Baca and Joe Sam Baca and his nephew Bobby Gabaldon.
A visitation will be held on Friday June 14, 2013 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church from 5-7 pm. A Rosary will then be recited at 7:00 pm, led by James Saucedo. On Saturday June 15, 2013 also at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church at 10:00 am, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Patrick Schafer, OFM. Military honors will be conducted by VFW post #3221. Cremation will follow.
Pallbearers include; Paul Baca, Wilford Baca, Alfred Baca, Robert Baca, Israel Vigil, and Anthony Alires.
Honorary Pallbearers include; Nick Baca, Ralph Baca, Ricky Baca and Rudy Baca.
Cope Memorial Chapel of Gallup is entrusted with arrangements.
