Vaughn Troutman Drinen, 96, of Farmington passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019. Vaughn was born in Caddoa, Colorado to John and Edith (Troutman) Drinen. He married Elsie Hansberry on August 6, 1945 in Aztec, New Mexico. They were married for 66 years, until her death in 2011. Vaughn was preceded in death by a daughter (Frances Nancy), his parents, a sister (Donna), and a son-in-law (Charles Smith).
Vaughn is survived by seven children; Lloyd (Linda), Joanne Smith, Henry (Melinda), Bryan, Donna, Rosemary, and Elvonna Brinker (Greg), 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and five sisters (Norma, Nina, Nadine, Naomi, and Isa). He was a long- time resident of Farmington, retiring from Webb's Smoak Chevrolet. He most enjoyed helping Elsie manage their farm, providing a healthy environment to rear their close-knit children. Vaughn was a man of GREAT faith who loved the Lord.
Services will be held on Thursday, October 24. 2019 at 9:00 A.M. at Cope Memorial Chapel of Farmington, 404 W. Arrington Street. A private burial will follow.
