Valera " Vicky"Lesperance

Valera "Vicky" Lesperance, 87, of Farmington, died on Sunday, January 13, 2013 in aztec. She was born may 24, 1925 in Wellington, Kansas, to Nannie and Jessie Newkirk.
She married her husband of 64 years," Les" Lesperance, in 1946.
Vicki loved spending time with her friends and family. She belonged to P.E.O. , C.R.S. and two book clubs. She enjoyed reading, bird watching and traveling.
Vicki enjoyed teaching and was employed with Farmington Municipal Schools for 30 years.
She was active in the First Presbyterian Church, serving as an elder and attending the Elizabeth Barnes Circle and Faith Group.
Vicki was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert "Les" Lesperance and her parents.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet (David) Milam, of Farmington and Laurie Russell, of Hobbs; four grandchildren, Jason (Connie) Russell, of Lubbock, Texas, Josh (Melanie) Russell, of Las Cruces, Stacy (Jerad) Grey, of Friday Habor, Washington and Christopher Milam, of Mesa , Arizona; three great-granddaughters, Arya and Autumn Russell, of Las Cruces and Cadence Russell, of Lubbock, Texas; and also survived by her sister, Colleen Wall, of Evansville, Ind.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, january 25, 2013, at the First United Presbyterian Church, 865 N. Dustin Ave., in Farmington with Glenn Perica officiating.
