Tina Marie Lamb (Mahaffey)
May 25, 1957 - Nov. 26, 2015
On Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015, Tina Marie Lamb (Mahaffey) lost her courageous battle with cancer in Farmington, at her home surrounded by her three children.
Tina was born to Joyce Amburn, the forth child of five on May 25, 1957, in Albuquerque. She attended Farmington High School and San Juan College. She graduated from Clown Academy in 1999. She was a kind, giving, fun, loving, and quirky, adventurous, outgoing woman. She enjoyed hosting gatherings with family and friends. She also volunteered as a "big sister." Her lifelong career in the food industry allowed her to raise a beautiful family and meet so many beloved friends. Her main hobbies were bargain hunting and yard saling with her loved ones for "happy prizes." She lived her life by following the Golden Rule -- "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you" -- and by always practicing kindness.
Tina, a.k.a. Nanny, is survived by her siblings, Troy Hardesty, Dawn McFarling, Sherri Ross and Bobby Mahaffey; her three children, Amy Turney, Charles Gonzales, and Henry Gonzales and wife Bridget; her beloved grandchildren, Kelci and fiancée Jeremy, Kaytlynn, Anthony, Kyle, Klarissa and Kruz; her great-grandchildren, Arravella, Prezton and Prezley; and many special nieces, nephews and friends.
Her celebration of life will be at 3 p.m. today, Dec. 6 at the Courtyard by Marriott, 560 Scott Ave. in Farmington.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for the cost of her service and memorial stone. An account has been set up in her name at Animas Credit Union. Thank you for your generosity and remember to display a random act of kindness each day.
