Thomas Padilla, 25, was born May 23, 1990, in Las Cruces, and raised in Truth or Consequences. He moved to Farmington in 2012, with his family and worked for BHP coal mining. Thomas passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015.
Thomas leaves behind his wife, Melissa Padilla; three boys, Jayden, Sebastian, and Liam Padilla; parents, Kim Padilla, Audie and Lois Padilla; sisters, Carrie (Bobby) Willis and Marsha (Joe) Fischer; brother, Ruben (Stacie) Saenz; and various nieces and nephews.
Thomas was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend. He served as an U.S. Marine in the armed forces. He served to protect his family and this great nation. Thomas loved to fish, hunt, be outdoors, and to be with the ones closest to him. Thomas loved his three boys and they were his love and his life. Thomas loved to bring a smile to people's faces. He was a light in so many people's lives and we will all miss the light and kindness that he brought into this world. That light is now filled with the darkness of his absence, but it will once again shine bright in our hearts when we see him again in a better place.
Thomas Lee Padilla will be loved, cherished, and sorely missed by all.
A memorial Mass will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Parish of Truth or Consequences.
