Terry Lee Sewell, 69, passed away on July 1, 2021, in Farmington. He was born on April 18, 1952, in Monte Vista, Colorado, to Sam and Donna Sewell.
Terry graduated from Farmington High School in 1970 and served a mission for the LDS Church in Oklahoma and Arkansas. Terry married his eternal companion, Judy
Culler, on September 6, 1974, in the Provo Temple. Terry was an accomplished jeweler affiliated with Zales for several years and managed two stores in Idaho.
Terry moved his family back to Farmington in 1983 to work with his father and brother at Apache Auto Service. He soon opened his own auto repair shop, Pro
Muffler in Kirtland. After selling his business, he became the automotive instructor for Farmington Municipal Schools and retired in 2018. He was an avid
Scouting and religious leader, leaving a legacy of service. He especially loved serving as the Bishop of 4th Ward in the LDS church.
He was preceded in death bv his mother and father as well as his grandparents.
He is survived by his wife, Judy, and his four sons Todd, Damon (Amy), Travis (Angela), and Mitch (Coty);
brother Rickey and sister Sheyrl Neville; and grandchildren Caden (Brooke), Emma and Abby (mother Aimee), Logan, Carson, Nathan, Justin, Drake, Tyson, and Avery
Sewell.
A funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 400 West Apache.
Terry's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute Street in Farmington, NM (505) 325-8688.
