Ted, 72, lifetime resident of Fmt., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at the ranch where he grew up doing what he loved, taking care of the ranch, which has remained in his family for over 200 years. Ted was born in Durango, Colo., on June 28, 1944, to Edward M. Thomas and Elva C. Thomas.
Ted was a meat specialist for Safeway and Furr's Super Market. He also owned and operated San Juan Meats. Ted was an avid supporter of the 4-H program and served on the SJC Fair Board. He enjoyed raising 4-H Club calves with his family, horseback riding, fishing, hiking and attending sporting events for his children and grandchildren. He was a member of FUMC.
Ted was a role model for his four daughters and six grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Toni A. Thomas; four daughters, Tandra Kirkpatrick, Tiffany Thomas, Tamera Perry and Teddy Thomas. He is also survived by three grandsons, Andre Vasquez, Dylan Kirkpatrick and Levi Perry; and three granddaughters, Jordan Vasquez, Brady Perry and Jolie Ann Perry.
A Celebration of his Life will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 12 at the Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute, Fmt. The family would like to express sincere appreciation to all the relatives and friends who have been supportive during this time.
