Dr. Suzanne Curtis Gray MD

Dr. Suzanne Curtis Gray, internist and rheumatologist of Farmington passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016 in Farmington. She was born on May 22, 1941 in Jackson, Michigan to Marjorie and Bob Curtis. She grew up in the Jackson area and attended the University of Michigan graduating with a degree in Biology. There she met and married the father of her son Archibald Duncan Gray II. They moved to New York City, and then to Houston where Suzanne taught biology. Then after her divorce she got her physicians assistant degree, then at age 44 she was accepted in a special program at Boston University for older men and women who had special backgrounds in the sciences to qualify them for admission. She then completed the training. Suzanne moved to Farmington in 1991 to practice rheumatology. Dr. Gray practiced until her final illness.
Suzanne enjoyed gardening. She sponsored the Farmer's Market with vouchers. She was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church. She served on the vestry and was a member of the Daughters of the King.
Dr. Gray is survived by her son, Archibald Duncan Gray III; grandson, Archibald Duncan Gray IV, age 10; and granddaughter, Sugaree Monte,age 20.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 9, 2016, at St. John's Episcopal Church, 312 N, Orchard Ave.,Farmington.
