Stephen Michael Herrera (Corn), 48, of Bloomfield, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2014, in Bloomfield. He was born April 11, 1966, in Albuquerque, to Raymond and Patsy Herrera. A son, a brother and a dad passed from this world to be in paradise with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In his short 48 years, Stephen lived his life abundantly. His passion was guns and ammo, shooting , fishing and riding his four-wheeler in the hills. Stephen loved working with his hands and spent 30 years working at Classic Eyewear as a lab manager. We will miss his funny sense of humor, his witty replies and his cheery personality.
Stephen was preceded in death by his mother Patsy Herrera. He is survived by his daughter Demetria Herrera; his father Raymond Herrera; his two brothers Bo Herrera (Sherry) and Joseph Herrera (Tracy); his nieces, Stacy Araiza and Amanda Colburn; his nephew Ben Herrera; and great-nephew Marcos Araiza.
A celebration of life will be a barbecue on memorial day weekend in 2015.
