Funeral services for Stenson D. Lee Sr., 60, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Red Rock Church of God. The Reverend Terry Goodin will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Gallup.

Lee died May 3, 2017, in Albuquerque. He was born December 17, 1956, in Gallup, into the Black Streak People Clan born for the Bitter Water People Clan.

Lee earned a bachelor's in elementary education from the University of New Mexico and a bachelor's in business management for the University of Phoenix. He worked as an advocate and interpreter for the Navajo Nation prosecutor's office in Window Rock, Arizona, and for the Disability Law Center in Gallup. Lee taught middle school for the Bureau of Indian Education, Central Consolidated Schools and Mariano Lake. He also worked for Gallup-McKinley County Schools.

Survivors include his wife Crystal Lee, of Red Rock; son Stenson Lee Jr. and Falcon Lee, both of Red Rock, Colton Lee, of Shiprock, and Ryan Horse, of Red Rock; daughters Fawnna Lee and Feather Lee, of Red Rock; brothers Johnson Lee Sr., of Gallup, and Benson Brown, of Red Rock; sisters Ethelyn Rodriguez, Brenda Sandoval and Meldred McCabe, all of Red Rock; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his mother Annie Lee Nez, grandfather John Lee and Grandmother Agnes M. Lee.

Pallbearers will be Zachary Lee, Lansferd Lee, Leland Lee, Donovan Kerchava, Fernando Lee and Johnathan Lee

Cope Memorial Chapel of Gallup, NM is entrusted with arrangements.
