Stanley Tom Jr

Stanley Tom Jr., 53, of Farmington, NM went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 1, 2016.
Stan was born on August 1, 1962 in Schurz, NV to Stanley Sr. and Imogene Tom.
Stan graduated from Yerington High School in 1980. After high school, he proudly served in the US Army and received training as a Military Police Officer. He obtained his Associates Degree, then a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994 at American Indian Bible College in Phoenix, AZ. In 2011, Stan earned his Master of Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University.
Stanley worked at T'iis Nazbas Community School as a dorm manager. After earning his degree he worked at Clarity Counseling. His final place of employment was with the SJC Alternative Sentencing Division as a Substance Abuse Counselor.
Stan is preceded in death by his father Stanley Tom Sr.
He is survived by his wife Deborah (Lee) Tom; son Jesse Caleb Lee Tom; mother Imogene Tom; brothers Mike, Gary, Don, Alvin, David; sisters Kathleen, Marilyn, and Bernita; and numerous nieces and nephews all of Nevada.
A viewing will be from 6-8 PM Thursday, July 7th at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, July 8 at the First Assembly of God Church, 805 Saguaro Trail in Farmington, NM. Following the service Stan will be laid to rest at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 E, Main St., in Farmington, with full military honors by VFW Post #2182.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are greatly appreciated and can be made to the family at the funeral service.
