Shirley E (Roy) Roy

Shirley E. Roy, 71, of Farmington, died Wednesday, April 20, 2016, in Farmington at her home. Shirley was born Nov. 10, 1944, in Amesbury, Mass., the daughter of Phillip Roy and Barbara Adams Roy.
Shirley loved to grow her flowers, feed her baby chickens, and be a good person to all she met.
Shirley loved meeting new people and attending her church. She also loved rescuing animals and especially kitties.
Shirley will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Adams; and her partner, Leroy Olivas.
Left to celebrate her life is her son, Aaron Hauzer and his wife Twila; her daughter, Rachel Wilson and her husband John; brothers, Phillip D. J. Roy and his partner Johnathon, and Wayne V. Roy and his wife Carol; sister, P. J. Derbyshire and her husband Bill; grandchildren, Tesslia Hauzer and Cree Gurley; great-grandchild, Zackery Seller, and many dear friends.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Shirley will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 12 at LaPlata Valley Baptist Church, 629 Highway 170 on the LaPlata Highway, with pastor Craig Siegel and family will officiate the services.
