Sandy Jacquez, 75, of Bloomfield, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014, in Bloomfield. He was born July 15, 1939, in Dzilth-na-o-dith-hle, to Tom and Mary Jacquez. He was born to Bit'ahnii and born for To' dich'ii'nii.
Sandy enjoyed going to casinos and traveling. He worked for the Laborers International Union Local 16 for over 35 years. He was a very spiritual man. He was a Roadman for the Native American Church.
Sandy loved his sons and grandchildren dearly. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Sandy was preceded in death by his wife Nellie W. Jacquez; daughters, Lorraine Jacquez and Sandra Jacquez; parents; brother Mike Jacquez; and grandchildren, Latesha Marie Jacquez and Lazarus Lawrence Jacquez.
He is survived by his wife Margo Jacquez; sons, Lawrence (LuAnn) Jacquez, Ronald Jacquez and Ronnie (Valerie) Jacquez; brothers, Harry (Pauline) Jacquez, Teddy (Alice) Jacquez, Walter (Karen) Jacquez and Joe (Louise) Jacquez; and grandchildren, Zachariah Jacquez, Dominic Jacquez, Lakesha Nellie Jacquez, Tiana Jacquez, Zakaiya Jacquez and Evaina Jacquez.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Brethren in Christ Mission in Otis, with Dwayne Bristow, Joe Jacquez and Chester Denny officiating. Interment will follow in the Brethren in Christ Mission Cemetery in Otis. A reception will follow in the mission.
