Rynda Iris (McKinney) Christensen

Rynda Christensen passed away Dec. 14, 2014, in Goodlettsville, Tenn. She was born March 26, 1948, in Sacramento, Calif., to Ken and Carol McKinney. She married Peter Louis Christensen in 1967. Pete and Rynda lived in Farmington many years before moving to Utah and then to Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her daughter Valerie in 1995 and her father in 2002. Survivors include her husband, Pete; and their five daughters, Trisha (Mark) Lorenzen of South Jordan, Utah, Christie (David) DeWeerd of Midlothian, Texas, Cindi Jones of Gallatin, Tenn., Hollie Christensen of Aztec and Jessica Ridden of Goodlettsville. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, her mother, three sisters and one brother. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and always loved and served others. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and all those who knew her. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 27 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eighth Ward, 4400 College Blvd. in Farmington. Interment with her daughter Valerie in Greenlawn Cemetery will follow the services. Rynda's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington, 505-325-8688.
