Roy W. Andrews, Jr., of Fruitland, NM, passed away while surrounded by his family, after a hard fought battle with lung disease, on Saturday, August 16, 2014, in Farmington, NM. He was born in Cripple Creek, CO, on February 23, 1939 to Roy and Mildred Andrews. He was the youngest of five children. Roy met Connie Ontis in Grants, NM, in 1959 and they were married the following year. After working as a heavy equipment operator for forty plus years he retired in 2001 to enjoy camping, fishing and traveling until his illness would no longer permit. He was a member and past master of Masonic Lodge Animas #15, a member of Balut Abyad Shrine and treasured the many adventures with the shrine Nomads who were like family to him and Connie.Roy was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Juanita and Merriam. He is survived by his wife of 54 years; son Frank (Renee); grandsons Stanley and Cody; daughter Karen; sisters Corrine and Elizabeth; numerous nieces and nephews and his four legged girls Roxy and Gretta. Cremation will take place and memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E.
