Ross Alford Finley

Ross Alford Finley, 89, a Naval Air Veteran, of Farmington, New Mexico passed away on June 8, 2021 in Farmington. He was born on July 24, 2021 in Abilene, Texas to Norman Finley and Bernice Ross.

Ross attended Putnam High School while also attending Cisco Jr College until graduation. Ross joined the National Guard before joining the Navy. He served 4 years in the Navy; He was stationed in Iceland with several trips to Northern Europe where he crossed the Arctic Circle… Twice. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Evelyn Taylor; they were married for 69 years. Ross loved his Kenworth. He traveled the U.S. and Canada for many years. He was a senior ranger at Pinon Hill Golf Course prior to retirement.

Ross is preceded in death by his parents; Norman and Bernice Finley, brother; Gene Finley and grandparents; Eugene and Ella Finley. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Mary Finley, daughters; Deborah Manning of Denver, Colorado and Denise Thompson of Albuquerque, New Mexico, 2 grandchildren; Kimberly (Troy) Moran of Denver, Colorado and Jennifer Guerrero also of Denver, and 2 great-grandchildren; Jacob and Taryn Moran of Denver, Colorado.

Burial will take place at Ross Cemetery in Baird, Texas on July 24, 2021.
