Rose M. Archuleta

Antonia Rosa (Rose) Manzanares Archuleta, 87, of Farmington, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013 in Farmington. She was born June 19, 1925 to Ramon Abad Manzanares and Maria "Isabel" Lopez Manzanares in Blanco, NM. Rose grew up in Blanco and attended catholic school there from grade one through 12. She met the love of her life of 68 years, during her senior year, Regino Archuleta. They were married on December 23, 1944 and had a daughter, Charlene, and a son, Steve, who were born in Salt Lake City, Utah.

After moving back to San Juan County, Rose worked for the public school systems in Aztec and Farmington from 1960 until she retired in 1988.

Rose was a very avid and devoted catholic all her life. She loved gardening and kept a beautiful flower and vegetable garden. She also enjoyed crocheting.

Rose was preceded in death by her son, Steve Archuleta and 5 sisters. She is survived by her husband, Regino Archuleta, of Farmington; daughter Charlene Archuleta Zdunczyk (Carl) of Rio Rancho; sister, Lucy Gonzales of Bloomfield; brother, John Manzanares (Doris) of Salt Lake City, UT; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Archuleta of Farmington and 5 grandchildren, Carla Candelaria and Sheila Candelaria of Albuquerque, Steven Archuleta of Farmington, Krista Archuleta (Jeff) of Farmington and Curt Charles Bramble and wife Chrissi of Santa Monica, Calornia and 3 great grandchildren, Savannah Archuleta of Bloomfield, Nathaniel Nunez and Jacob Winters and many nieces and nephews.

Rose was a very special person who touched the lives of all she met. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation for Rose will be held on Thursday, February 7th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited on Friday, February 8th at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 9th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers are Isaac Montoya, Lonnie Valencia, Kenneth Manzanares, David Dean, Jesse Mascarenas, Gilbert James Acuna, Danny Montoya and Paul Michael Acuna. Honorary pallbearers are Carla Candelaria, Steven Archuleta, Sheila Candelaria, Krista Archuleta, Curt Charles Bramble, Johnny Ray Manzanares, Phillip Nunez and Jeff Winters.
