Rosario "Rassi" DiBartolo, 85, passed away on Friday October 03/2014 in Albuquerque, NM.
He was born in Slickville, PA on October 17, 1928. He served our country in the U.S. Army
from 1946 -1950. He and his brother owned and operated Cortese Fruitery for 25 years in
Englewood, N.J.Rosario and his wife Elvera retired and moved to Farmington to be closer
to their grandchildren in 1996. He was a great husband, Father and grandfather. His family
meant the world to him. He will be missed by many. Rosasrio and Elvera were married
August 01, 1954 and recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Rosasrio was
preceded in death by his parents Cosimo and Caroline DiBartolo, son Rossi DiBartolo Jr.,
brothers Fortunato "Fred" DiBartolo, Philip DiBartolo, Nicky DiBartolo, James "Jimmy" DiBartolo,
and sister Rose Dibartolo. He is survived by his wife Elvera DiBartolo, daughters Phylllis Zimmerman,
and Michelle Finn and his sister Tina Alessi, grandchildren Caitlin and Kelsey Zimmerman.
A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 7:00pm at Cope Memorial Chapel
in Farmington, Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, October 09, 2014 at 10:00 am at Sacred
Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Richardson as celebrant. Pallbearers are David Zimmerman, Richard Finn,
David Standifer, Robert Wilson, Christopher DiBartolo, and Joe Barela. Burial will follow at
Memorial Gardens in Farmington. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
