Ronald Dale Visconti Feb. 13, 1955 - Nov. 16, 2015
The love of our life, Ronald Dale Visconti, passed away on Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, after a long battle
with cancer. Ron was born on Feb. 13, 1955, to Charlene Slaughter. When he was 10, God
gave him the greatest dad in the world to help raise him, Ron Wood. Ron grew up most of his
childhood in Silver City. His last employer was Williams Field Service up to the point
where his cancer made him unable to work. He truly missed working and all of the Williams
Companies employees.
Ron is survived by his wife Debra Visconti; his parents, Ron and Charlene Wood; sister, Vicki Visconti and her husband Russell; brother, Rick Kyle; children, Kenneth Visconti and wife, Alexis of Kansas City, Mo., Kristy Visconti and husband Kory Watson of Farmington, Tyler Willis of Phoenix, Ariz., and Garrett Willis of Fort Bragg, N.C. He also leaves behind the grandchildren who always made him happy. He truly loved being a Papa to His grandchildren, Kylee Rose Willis, Jaden Ronald Willis and Amelia Catalina Visconti. Ron was especially close to sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shelley and Duane Knudsen and their children who helped him with his treatment in Phoenix. He loved all of his extended family and friends and we have never heard any person who had anything bad to say about him. Ron would stop what he was doing to help anyone. He loved anything outdoors, jet skiing and the lake. He could fix anything.
A private ceremony will be scheduled for family at Lake Powell which was his favorite
place on earth.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to IGW Pediatric Cancer Foundation, 5637 U.S. Highway 64, Farmington, NM 87402. This foundation helps children and their families who have to travel to receive cancer treatment. Ron was always sad that there was not more treatment options here in Farmington for children battling cancer.
