Rodney "Rod" Alan Kramer, (Grandpa Scooter Rat), 59, of Farmington passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 in Farmington. Rod was born January 1, 1955 in Tacoma, Washington the son of William and Nancy Kramer.
He went to Washington High School and also Pierce College in Washington State. Rod was an LPN for 5 years and recently was employed with Life Care Center of Farmington. Rod was a deacon at Sunrise Christian Church, a Celebrate Recovery Leader also at Sunrise Christian Church.
Rod loved to do so many outdoor things, like going to the hot springs, gardening, riding his motorcycle and traveling. He loved talking to people, never met a stranger, reading God's word and spending time with his wife and friends. Rod also loved cooking. He will be greatly missed by all.
Rod was preceded in death by this father William Kramer.
Rod leaves behind his wife Poppy A. Kramer; daughters Keli Kramer, Tamrah Kramer and Cheech Kramer; his mother Nancy Kramer; sisters Becky Metcalf, Jenny Kramer and Amy Crusan-Kramer; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many friends.
Cremation will take place and memorial services are Saturday, December 6th at 2:00 p.m. at Sunrise Christian Church, 1501 Sunrise Parkway in Farmington with Pastor Larry Williams officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made in Rod's name to Sunrise Christian Church, 1501 Sunrise Parkway, Farmington, NM 87401.
Rod's services are entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St., (505) 325-8688.
