Roberta Werito, 51, of Bloomfield, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015, in Farmington. She was born Aug. 10, 1963, in Chaco Canyon, to Nelwood and Bessie Marie Werito. She was born to Ashiihii the Salt Clan and born for Bitahnii.
Roberta is survived by three daughters, Ro Martinez of Farmington, Kelli Lyn Martinez and son-in-law Warren Toledo of Bloomfield, and Jalisa Leai Blackie and son-in-law Bing Ahenakew III, grandsons, Kyran Lee Judd and Demarius Landon Ahenakew of Wyoming; mother Bessie Werito, three sisters, Wilma Lawrence, Brenda Werito and Ronnie Werito; two brothers, Wayne Werito and Vincent Werito; and many wonderful numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Jimmy Paul; father Nelwood Werito, brother Calvin Werito; sister Vera Martin; and grandparents, Joe and Sarah Yazzie and Jim and Anna Beyale.
A visitation will be from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. today at Cope Memorial Chapel in Kirtland.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 23, at the Day 3 Church, 1105 S. Miller Ave. in Farmington, with Pastor Bryan Corley officiating.
Interment will follow at 1 p.m. in the Bloomfield Cemetery, 427 W. Cemetery Road, off of U.S. Highway 550.
A reception will be at the Bloomfield Civic Center, 333 S. 1st St. in Bloomfield.
Pallbearers are Vincent Werito, Shananray Eaton, Presley Victor, Roberto Martinez and Therman Martin.
