Because tomorrow never came ...
Robert "Tucker" Truby, 21, of Bloomfield, left this world Thursday, May 14, 2015, to be with Jesus with his best friend, Sam, by his side until the end. He was born Oct. 5, 1993, in Durango, Colo., to Rory and Lori Truby.
In 2011, Tucker joined the New Mexico National Guard and became a specialist in the 919th MP CO. He graduated in 2012 from Aztec High School. In 2013, he began pursuing a degree in engineering at UNM. He also took classes at San Juan College.
Tucker worked on the family farm and worked by his parents' side in their hunting business. He loved to play video games and go snowboarding with his friends. He also enjoyed fishing, shed hunting and hunting with his family.
Tucker will always be remembered for his amazing smile, his kind heart and gentle ways. He was deeply loved by all who knew him, but Rory, Lori, Cali and Jaci will always love and miss him the most. Always and forever ...
Tucker was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert E. Pate, and great-grandfather, Robert H. Truby Sr. He is survived by his loving parents, Rory and Lori Truby; loving sisters, Cali Truby and Jaci Truby; his grandparents, Sue Pate and Robert and Rachel Truby; and great-grandmothers, Inez Truby and Helen Williams.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 22 at Piñon Hills Community Church, 5101 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington, with Pastor Keith Corley officiating.
Pallbearers are Rory Truby, Laura Truby, Cali Truby, Robert Truby, Dylan Simmons and Chase Truby.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations to be made to PMS Community Health Center, 101 W. Broadway Ave. Farmington, NM 87401.
