Robert Walter Patterson, 79, of Bloomfield, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013, in Farmington. He was born January 30, 1934, in Lexington, Iowa, to James Walter and Wilma Lucille Patterson. Bob served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He lived and farmed in Iowa after his service. He worked for Yoder Feeds for many years in Iowa. In 1988, he moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, to attend RHEMA Bible Training Center. In 1990, he moved to Bloomfield to work on the Navajo Reservation in Carson. In 2001, he pioneered Victory in the Word Church in Bloomfield. He served as senior pastor until he moved to heaven on Sunday, July 21, 2013. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Patterson. He is survived by his wife, Janet Patterson; sons, Clare DeBoef, Dave and Doug; daughters, Kris Wilkins, Sherri Furman and Janny Hall; brothers, Donald and Marion Patterson; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be #p.m. on Saturday, July 27, at the Summit Church, 1200 E. 30th Street in Farmington, with Pastor James Montgomery officiating. Robert's care is entrusted to Alternative Choice, 804 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington, 505-325-9611.
