Robert "Bob" Allen Glatz, 75 of Farmington, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. He was born on October 7, 1939, to Trude Allen Glatz and Emma Grace (Ickes) Glatz in Del Norte, CO. After graduating for Monte Vista High School in 1957, Robert was employed with Safeway as a carry out and was immediately promoted to the meat department where he was employed for 46 years. Robert was very active in the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks where he served in many positions including the Exalted Ruler for the years 1991-92. Robert loved woodworking, making gifts for friends and family. He also loved spending his summers at Navajo Lake at the Elks Campgrounds with his "Camp Rat" friends and family.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Trudy Lynn Gerber and sister Jeanne Darrah.
He is survived by his wife Pat Glatz; sons Robbie Glatz, Randy Glatz and Donald Spencer; daughters Debi Falbo (Russ), Tami Spencer and that little black dog Abby; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, today, Friday, November 21, at the Elks Lodge in Farmington with BPOE 1747 officiating.
