Robert Joseph Ferrier

Robert Joseph Ferrier, 85, of Farmington N.M. passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023. He was born on September 8, 1937, in Los Angeles, CA to the late Fredrick and Blanche Ferrier.
Robert is survived by his wife Celia of 65 years, Sons Jon (Laura) Tom, Mark, daughter Ramona (Kenneth Verzani), Grandson Robert Joshua Ferrier and granddaughter Olivia Ferrier. Brothers Daniel and John Ferrier.
Robert was a retired schoolteacher, a Veteran of the US Army, serving from 1957-1960. He was a rugged individualist whom lived life with a relentless pursuit of education, health and creativity.  Robert was a dedicated family man who unconditionally encouraged and supported his children. He obtained his Bachelors degree from NMSU and his Masters degree from UNM.  As an educator, he provided opportunities for special needs students. He was passionate about track and field, as a coach and a longtime participant in the senior games.
Preceding him in death is his grandson, Mark Rian Ferrier
Private services will be held for immediate family.
Robert Ferrier has been entrusted to Alternative Choice Funeral & Cremation in Farmington, N.M.
