Riley 'Billy' Foust, 97, peacefully passed from this life on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 in Farmington. He was born on January 13, 1920 to Louis and Alice Foust in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Billy was better known locally for his Music. He was the Oklahoma State Fiddle Champion at age 17 in 1937. He traveled and played with some of the greats, including Bob Wills and His "Texas Playboys". Billy formed his own band in the early 50's and worked a weekly radio show in Borger, TX and had his own TV Show on KFDA in Amarillo, TX. Billy Foust and his "Circle Arrow Boys" were popular all over the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandle. In 1959 he moved his family to Farmington. He owned and operated Billy's American Service Station from 1963 to 1973 and was employed with Graves Oil and Butane Co. for ten years, retiring in 1985. For years following he continued to play his music and entertain local fans. In 1988 Billy was inducted into the Country/Western Music Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City. Billy was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Wilma; his son, Ronnie; grandson, Alan. He is survived by his daughter, Janis (Jerry) Wilson; daughter-in-law, Janet Foust; granddaughter, Kamie Hawkinson; grandson, Dean (Riki) Foust; great grandson, Riley Foust. The family would like to thank the administrative staff, nurses and CNA's at the Bridge and Life Care Center for their outstanding care and support. A memorial service will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, August 30 at Alternative Choice Burial and Cremation, 804 N. Dustin Ave., in Farmington with Pastor Rey Espana officiating the service. An inurnment will take place immediately following the service at 11:30 AM at Greenlawn Cemetery. Billy's care is entrusted to Alternative Choice Burial and Cremation, 804 N.
