Richard D. Cadman

Richard D. Cadman, 79, of Mitten Rock, NM, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 12, 2023; he was born in October of 1943. His clans are: Kin Lichíi'nii — Red House, Táchii'nii — Red Running Into the-Water.

Richard is survived by his loving wife Gloria Cadman, four daughters: Lora (Jason) Parker, Delora, Lorinda, and Lorilynn Cadman, and granddaughter Kyra Cadman; along with his brother Walter (Katherine) Cadman, their children: Darin Sr., Roberta, Marcus, and Melissa Cadman, and grandchildren: Raquel and Darin Cadman Jr.; along with his sister Margie Cadman, her daughter Sharon (Alonzo) Cadman Nez, and grandchildren: Hailey and Brandon McKoy. He is also survived by his Sister-in-laws with their families: Victoria Ellison, Loretta (Herbert) Benally, Virginia (Cecil Sr.) Begay, Carmelita (Bob) Ellison, Marian (Peter) Yazzie, and Jean Begaye; along with his Brother-in-laws with their families: Dennis Ellison, Matthew Ellison, Nathaniel (Natasha) Ellison, Andrew (Kym) Ellison, Samuel (Carol) Ellison, Anderson Ellison, Emerson Ellison, and Daniel (Lena) Ellison.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents Harriet & Carl Cadman Sr., and twin brothers Ronald & Robert Cadman; along with Sister-in-laws: Mary Ellison, Pearl Esplain and Barbara Baldwin; Brother-in-laws: Don Ellison Jr., Henry Begaye, Wallace Clement, Robert Jaramillo, and Frank Hunsinger; and parent-in-laws: Mary Marie Ellison and Don Ellison Sr.

Visitation for Richard will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Cope Memorial Kirtland Chapel (Kirtland, NM); Cope Memorial Kirtland Chapel is where he is being cared for. Funeral Service will be held at Shiprock Pentecostal Church (Shiprock, NM) on July 20, 2023, at 10:00AM with Pastor Billison Begay officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Kirtland Fruitland Cemetery (Kirtland, NM). Pallbearers include: Anthony Begay, Tyrell Begay, Ruebin Begay, Bob Mitchell Jr, Creighton Don Ellison, Brandon McKoy, Kristoffer Harris-Smith, and Brandon Bruce Begay. Honorary Pallbearers: Gloria Cadman, Lora Parker, Delora Cadman, Lorinda Cadman, Lorilynn Cadman, Kyra Cadman, Walter Cadman, and Margie Cadman.

The Cadman family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to ROOTS Home Health Care Inc (Farmington, NM) for providing outstanding, excellent, and wonderful caring services for Cheii Richard in his last years. He loved and adored Sara, Jerad, Tom, Douglas, Lorraine, Kim, Heather, Vincent, Lavinia, Brooke, Daniel, and all other staff members who contributed to his wonderful care - THANK YOU.
