Regino "Ray" Archuleta, 95 of Farmington was called home by Our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 11, 2013. He was born in Turley, N.M. on August 17, 1918 to Jose M. Archuleta and Rosa Armenta Archuleta. Regino grew up in Turley and attended Blanco Catholic School, grades 1-12. He met the love of his life there, Rose Manzanares, they were married on December 23, 1944 and were blessed with a daughter, Charlene and a son, Steve. Regino and Rose celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in 2012. Regino retired from El Paso Natural Gas Company in 1983. He was a devout catholic and a member of the St. Mary's Parish and the Legion of Mary for many years. He loved gardening with his wife, Rose. The fruits of their labor were enjoyed by many. He was preceded in death by wife Rose; his son, Steve, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Regino leaves behind his daughter, Charlene Archuleta Zdunczyk (Carl) Rio Rancho; daughter-in-law, MaryAnn Archuleta, Farmington; grandchildren, Carla Candelaria and Sheila Candelaria, Albuquerque; Steven Archuleta and Krista Archuleta (Jeff) Farmington; and Curt Charles Bramble (Chrissi), Santa Monica, CA; great-grandchildren, Savannah Archuleta, Bloomfield; Nathaniel Nunez, Jacob Winters and Mariah Jayde Winters, Farmington; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be missed dearly and remembered forever. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, September 18, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Parish, 2100 E. 20th St. in Farmington. Mass of Christian Burial is Thursday, September 19, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Parish, 2100 E. 20th St. with Father Frank Chacon as celebrant. Cremation will follow and Regino will be placed with his wife at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Regino is the in care of Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St., Farmington, (505) 325-8688.
