Ronald Henry Hickey, 64, died at his home in Farmington on Monday, July 15, 2013. Ron was born in Cortez, Colorado, November 1, 1948, to William Henry Hickey and Dorothy Maxine (Terrill) Hickey. He celebrated 45 years of marriage to Suzen Lea (Abney) Hickey on June 29, 2013. Ron, a loyal and loving husband, father and faithful servant to his creator, had a gift for telling a story and making everyone laugh. He forged many friendships through his kind acts for others. Ron's varied interests involved camping, hunting, fishing and his ministry as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Ron retired from PNM gas company with more than 30 years of dedicated service to the San Juan County area. Ron is lovingly remembered by his wife and six children, Christian (Phillip) Hartman, William Les (Corinna) Hickey, Henry (Carmen) Hickey, Jesse (Stephanie) Hickey, Anna (Cesar) Polanco and Taylor Hickey. "Pappy" will also be deeply missed by his seven and a half grandchildren. The memorial service will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 5661 College Blvd. in Farmington. Ron's care is entrusted to Alternative Choice, 804 N.
