Ralph "Phil" Wahler, of Farmington, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014. Phil was born on Oct. 3, 1935, in San Diego Calif., to Rudolph and Wrennie Wahler, along with a brother and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Charlene Wahler and their children, Cindy Mills, Sally Stewart and Peter Wahler. Together they lost three children, recently deceased Bless Wahler and long deceased Todd and Stanley. He and his wife Charlene also raised their grandson, Travis Wahler.
The family moved to Durango, Colo., from California in 1972, and then moved to Farmington in 1978, where he started Four Corners Body and Paint, then later Wahler's Classics used cars. He had a passion for classic cars and restored many cars during his life, which is a passion still shared with his family today.
His memorial services will be at 10 a.m. on Dec. 19, at the church the family attended for many years, Emanuel Baptist Church, 211 W. 20th St. in Farmington.
