Guadalupita (Petey) Teresa Gomez Payne

Loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved dogs, horses, hummingbirds, and bluegrass music. She played many instruments, but mastered the guitar. She also ran a lucrative small business called The Broken Arrow in Taos New Mexico for many years, with husband Jess, son Joel and daughter Julie.

She was born in Las Vegas New Mexico, December 18, 1934, to Juan Antonio Gomez and Natividad Herrera. Her beautiful soul passed from this earth on March 10, 2020 of natural causes.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jess Lee Payne Jr.; son William (Booie) Payne; grandson Peter Ray Miller; and brother Frank Gomez.

Those left behind to grieve her passing, her sons Joel Payne (Barbara), Anthony Payne (Kimberly (d)); daughters Rose Miller, Terri Horst (Gary), and Julie Armenta (Richard (d)); eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; cousin Betsey Roybal; and many friends and loved ones.

Rest in peace, knowing that you will always be loved and cherished.
