Philathia "Maxine" (Goracke) Harder, 95, a longtime Farmington resident, passed away Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington. She was born Nov. 16, 1922, in Platville, Colo., the daughter of Ery Clare Goracke and Sylvia E. (Redman) Goracke.
Maxine was employed with Citizens Bank for over 30 years. She was a member of the Rebekah's where she was president and belonged to the Farmington and Aztec Chapters. The last five years of her life, she lived at the Bridge of Farmington. Maxine will be greatly missed by all her friends at the Bridge as well as her family.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dale Harder; a son, Larry Harder; and a brother, Robert Goracke. She is survived by her nephew, Jack Goracke and his wife, Dorothy Goracke of Cary, North Carolina.
Visitation for Maxine will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16 at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington.
A funeral service for Maxine will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17 at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Adams from First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 E. Main St. in Farmington.
