Peter Louis Christensen, 70, of Farmington, was called home by Heavenly Father to join the love of his life on Monday, Oct. 30, 2017. He was born Dec. 23, 1946, in Flensburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. He was later adopted and sealed to his loving parents and family, Cluff and Jane E. Christensen and their children Joanne Elliott, Samuel Christensen, and Timothy Christensen.
Pete served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1970 in various mechanical and engineering capacities. He is also a Vietnam Veteran.
Pete attended Dixie College in St. George, Utah where he met his love, Rynda. They were sealed for eternity in the LDS St. George Temple on June 3, 1967. Together they had six daughters: Trisha Lorenzen (Mark), Christie Gonzalez (Adan), Cindi Christensen-Jones, Valerie Christensen, Hollie Christensen-Sanchez, and Jessica Christensen-Ridden. They have 15 grandchildren: Bryan, Tanner, Brandon, Tyler, and Savanna Lorenzen; Mercedes Esquibel; Hailee, Ashely, and Valerie Paige Jones; George Sanchez Jr., Adam Delgado, Xavier Sanchez, and Ryan Nickerson; and Austin and Chandler Ridden. They were also blessed with two great grandchildren: Lexxis Cook and Greison Jones.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Cluff and Jane E. Christensen; his wife, Rynda Christensen; and his daughter, Valerie Christensen.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10 at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1606 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington followed by memorial services at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Knudsen chapel), 1310 E. 25th St. in Farmington.
