Funeral services for Peggy Silversmith Turch, 49, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014, at the Church of Christ in Gallup. Jeff Foster will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michaels. Visitation will be before services at the Church of Christ.
Turch died July 11, 2014, in Iowa. she was born July 13, 1964, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, into the Turkey People Clan born for the Under his Cover People Clan.
Turch graduated from Gallup High School in 1982 and was a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed taking care of children at day care, crocheting and knitting.
Survivors include her son Ryan Turch of Denver; daughter Rochelle Turch of Denver; brothers Brian Tony, Bronson Tony, Rocky Tony, Stoney Tony and Victorian Tracy of Gallup; sisters Patricia Silversmith-Montana, Flora Jean Tony, Elberta Estrada of Albuquerque, Jolene Tony, and Natasha Tony of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her parents Adele M. Tracy and Tom Silversmith; adopted parents Louise and Sherman Tony; grandparents Ella and Tracy Tracey, and Alice and Russell Silversmith; and brothers Clyde Silversmith, Craig Silversmith, and Vincent Tracy.
Pallbearers will be Andrew, Antonio, Eric, Patrick Estrada, Bronson Tony and Stoney Tony.
The family will receive relatives an friends at 1000 W. Green Ave.
Cope Memorial Chapel of Gallup, NM is entrusted with arrangements.
