Pauline Francisco Mitchell

Pauline Francisco-Mitchell, 65 of Farmington passed away Monday, December 29, 2014. She was born on August 23, 1949 in Otis to Natoni and Mary Francisco. She was Ha`shtl'ishnii (Mud Clan) and born for To'da'ch ii' nii (Bitterwater Clan). Her paternal grandparents are Bit'ahnii (Folded Arms) and maternal grandparents are Ta'chii'nii (Red Running Into the Water). Pauline graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1968 and Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Her teaching career took her to the New Mexico communities of Newcomb, Sanostee, Beclabito, Dzilth-Na-O-dith-hle, and Shiprock. Pauline retired after close to forty years of teaching. She was a generous, kind and warm hearted individual, always there to lend a helping hand. Pauline also enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the United States, Canada and abroad with her husband. When not traveling she loved gardening, sewing, baking and spending time with her family and many friends.Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Willie, John and Benjamin Francisco. She is survived by her husband, Francis Mitchell, her daughter Tiffani L. Benally (Ron) and granddaughter, Micheala Kay, her sisters Isabelle Francisco (Stephen) and Jeanette Quintero (Vincent), brothers Leo J. (Paula) and David L. (Patricia) Francisco and maternal aunt, Della Francisco. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews.Services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Brewer Lee and Larkin Chapel, with Pastor Ben Stoner officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens. Reception location information will be provided at the services.Pallbearers are Reed Francisco, Phillip Francisco, Matthew Francisco, Alex Francisco, Justin Francisco, Cole Quintero, Troy Ellison, and Jared Albert. Honorary Pallbearers are her siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews.
