Paul R. Spencer, 86, of Aztec, passed away Monday, Nov. 3, 2014. Paul was born in Picher, Okla., on Nov. 26, 1927, the son of Glenn Spencer and Wanda Mott. He graduated from Hollywood High School, and was a veteran of World War II. On Sept. 21, 1945, he united in marriage with Patricia Love. Together they raised an amazing family and traveled the world. Paul was an avid fisherman, and longtime member of the Vagabundos Del Mar, and the Aztec Kiwanis Club
Paul was preceded in death by his wife Patricia. He is survived by his children, Richard Spencer and wife Siege Spencer of Farmington, Robert Spencer and wife Sharon Spencer of Acworth Georgia, and Jill Turner and husband Bob Turner of Bayfield, Colo.; And his grandchildren, Richard Spencer, Marianne Harmon and husband Bill Harmon, Brian Spencer, Corey Spencer, Carrie Richardson and husband Marcus Richardson, all of Farmington, Leiani Watson and husband David Watson Norman Okla., Judy Turner, Shana Keyes and husband Kevin Keyes of Suwanee, Ga., Christopher Spencer; and many great-grandchildren. He will be missed by countless friends and family.
Paul was about many things, but above all he was a loving family man who touched the hearts of every person he met. His knack to make every one laugh and smile will never be forgotten. Paul's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington, 505-325-8688
