Orlando Montoya

Orlando Montoya, 33, born on October 20, 1987 in Espanola, NM received his wings August 27,2021, in Farmington, NM. He is survived by his wife Krystal Montoya, son/nephew Shawn Montoya, his mother Molly Madrid, father Juan Martinez, his sister Crystella Montoya and grandparents Manuelita (Mel) Madrid and Navora Martinez.
Orlando Montoya is preceded in death by his sister Marlena Montoya. He grew up in La Puente, NM and graduated from Escalante High School in 2007, and went on to be a manager at several mechanical shops. He had a passion and love for working on cars and especially racing them. But soon he found another love and that was his wife to be Krystal Morales. They met in 2009 and she went on to become a Montoya on June 2, 2018. Together they raised his wonderful nephew Shawn Montoya and their life was finally complete. Orlando was a devoted uncle to all nieces, nephews, extended family and friend's children, he was known as Uncle Kunkie. He enjoyed many activities from fishing and being outdoors to gaming and being with family. All around he was a loyal man. He will be deeply missed by his family friends and all who adored him.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 04, 2021 in Los Ojos, NM 87551. The Rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church. After the service we will be escorted to the Descanso/Madrid property in which we will then bless the ground. Following the blessing we ask all to join us for the reception where lunch will be provided and great memories of my husband shall be shared.
