Nina "Joyce" Richardson

October 21, 1929 — February 22, 2013

Nina "Joyce" Richardson, 83, of Farmington passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington. Joyce was born October 21, 1929 in Cotton Center, Texas the daughter of Elzie M. Langham and Martelie V. (Echols) Langham. Joyce moved to Farmington in 1945 and married Commodore A. Perry on August 1, 1946. She raised five children with Commodore. After his death in 1972, she went to work at Citizen's Bank from which she retired in the mid 1990's. Joyce then married De H. Richardson on June 30, 1975. He passed away in 1995 and she spent her remaining years supporting her church and spending time with her family. Joyce was preceded in death by her husbands Commodore A. Perry, and De H. Richardson; parents Elzie M. and Martelie V. Langham; brothers Virgil Langham and Ronald Langham; sisters Bonnie Faye Langham and Ruth Langham Jackson. She leaves behind her children, sons, M. Lemuel Perry, Gareth E. Perry, Vernal A. Perry and Boyce C. Perry; a daughter Alva B. Geuss; brothers Windell Langham and Elmo Langham; sisters Clara Black, Melba Kokko and Reba Kokotan; 11 grandchildren Michelle Orantes, Matthew Perry, Sherynn Madich, Lisette Cepeda, Fallon Peace, Ariel Murphy, Kayla Perry, Megan Perry, Brittany Perry, Heather Rogers and Derek Perry; nine great-grandchildren and many dear friends.

Visitation will be Monday, February 25, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church, 805 Saguaro Trail in Farmington.

Funeral services for Joyce will be Tuesday, February 26, at 1:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church, 805 Saguaro Trail in Farmington with Rev. M. Lemuel Perry officiating. Interment will follow services at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 East Main St. in Farmington. Pallbearers are Kent Buller, Don Buller, Armando Cepeda, James Peace, Brett Murphy, and Ross Rogers. Honorary pallbearers are Duane Brown, Dwane Robinson, Troy Strickland, Neil Buller and Camon Buller.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Joyce's name to Assemblies of God World Missions for missionaries Esdras and Michelle Orantes.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to all relatives and friends who were so kind and supportive during this time. Your kindness will always be remembered. Joyce's services are entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St., (505) 325-8688.
