Nellie Francisco Larvingo, 89, of Huerfano, went to be with her Lord and Savior on
Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014. She was born to Napihe Francisco and Ka-tiz-bah on March 21, 1925, in Carson.
Nellie was a homemaker and well-known weaver. She had tremendous faith in God, was very caring and loving to her family, and she was always willing to help the people in her community.
Survivors include sons, Roy Larvingo, Raymond Larvingo, and Eddie Larvingo; daughters Nita L. Larvingo (Chavez), Letta J. Larvingo, Bertha Larvingo (Buck), Rita L. Larvingo (Curley), and Loretta L. Larvingo (Jose); and 27 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband Harry Larvingo; son Harold Larvingo; brothers, Fred "Haash kei nay a" Francisco, Hash Kle ni yah; half-brothers, Buster Francisco, Natani Francisco and Fred Jack Francisco, half-sister Margaret Eaton; and parents, Napihe Francisco and Ka-tiz-bah.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the Brethren in Christ Navajo Mission in Otis, New Mexico. Interment to follow at Brethren in Christ Mission Cemetery in Otis. Pallbearers are Lorenzo Larvingo, Ernest Chavez, Jr., Randy Larvingo, David W. Smith, Franco H. W. Buck, Sheldon Chavez, and Brimdale Larvingo. Alternate pallbearers are Chad Eaton, Brent Francisco, and Dommic Detsoi. Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Larvingo, Raymond Larvingo, Roy Larvingo, Wil Eaton, Ernie Francisco, Loretta L. Jose, Bertha L. Buck, Letta L. Chavez, Rita L. Curley, Nila L. Chavez, 27 grandchildren, 409 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Nellie's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington, 505-325-8688.
