Nancy Retta (Will) Will

September 14, 1938 — February 25, 2015

Nancy Retta Will, a long time resident of Farmington, passed from this life to her heavenly home on February 25, 2015. She was born in Houston, Texas, on September 14, 1938, to Harold and Margaret Will. She graduated San Jacinto High School and received a BA in Business Administration from Rice University. She took yet further education courses at the University of Houston.
She taught school in Houston and in Taos, New Mexico, and was employed in office management positions at A.J. Foyt Chevrolet, Houston, and at Neptune-Wilkinson Associates, Consulting Civil Engineers, Austin. After moving to Farmington in 1989, she worked for Avis rental car company, shuttling cars through the Southwestern scenery that she dearly loved.
Nancy loved nature and the small animals that populated it. Two rescued feral cats, Grey Boy and Smudgie, were her companions for many years in Farmington, and feeding the birds was a once-a-day must. Telephone conversations with dear friends were also a cherished part of daily life.
Nancy is survived by her brother, John Will and his wife Johanna (Han) of Burleson, Texas; nephew Daniel Will and his wife Daphne of Southlake, Texas; niece Elisa Gappa of Fort Worth, Texas; and four grand nieces: Katrina Colwick and husband Aaron, and Margarett, Amanda and Elisabeth Will. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held in the chapel of Brewer Lee and Larkin Funeral Home on Saturday, April 25, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ASPCA or the Children's Defense Fund. Arrangements are with Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home.
