Myrtra "Kay" Gentry, 89, of Bloomfield, NM, went home to her Lord and Savior on April 28, 2017. She was born April 13, 1928, to James and Ruby Cox in Borger, Texas. Kay graduate from high school in Borger TX, and went to college at West Texas State College in Canyon, TX. In 1952, she moved to Farmington, and went to work for the phone company, and later went to work for El Paso Natural Gas Co., from which she retired in the mid 1980's. She married Archie Gentry on October 11, 1956, and had one daughter, Virginia "Ginger", they were married for 42 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church for 50+ years. She took great joy in serving her Lord and Savior. Kay loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Arch Gentry. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia "Ginger" Neeley (Charles); grandchildren Marisha Neeley Singleton (Ryan), Amanda Neeley and Shawn Neeley; great-grandchildren; Cain McCall, Alex Neeley, Adler Neeley and Aryanna Neeley.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service for Kay will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 18, at the Crossroads Community Church, 2400 N. Butler Ave, Farmington, with Reverend Dave West officiating.
