Cip Lucero passed away on May 10, 2020 in Grants, New Mexico, He was 66 years of age. He was born on March 24, 1954 in La Madera, New Mexico.

Mr. Lucero was a retired heavy equipment operator with the New Mexico Sate Highway Department. He was a car enthusiast, loving his 1968 Chevy Impala, and his yellow SSR. He enjoyed leatherwork, riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed meals at his favorite spots Canton Café, and El Ranchero Restaurant. He was a jokester with a huge sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren at their sporting events. His daily calls to family members will be missed. Cip was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his wife Liz Lucero. Two daughters; DeeAnn Manzanares (Manuel Jr.) Lydia Lucero (Bernie Sena Sr.). Four grandchildren; ALyssa “Pumpkin” Manzanares (Brandon Hernandez) Izeyah “Bug” Manzanares, Bernie “Boo-boo” Sena Jr., and Nathan “Nay nay” Sena. His brothers; Johnny Lucero Sr. (Anna), and Elmo Pena. His sibling in-laws; Orlando Esparza (Melba), Carlos Esparza (Diane), Ernest Esparza (Vera), Tuna Esparza (Paula Hill), Francisco Esparza, Richard Esparza (Bob), and Dorothy Romero. His Godchildren; Jamal Pratt, Raymond Manzanares, and Anthony Gallegos. His fur-babies; Boots and Tiki. Along with numerous other relatives that survive him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Roberto Lucero and Abranita Pena Lucero. His in-laws; Nieves and Lydia Esparza. One brother; Bobby Lucero. One Godson; Raymond Sanchez.

A private graveside service will be held on Thursday May 14, 2020 at Grants Memorial Park. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Pallbearers include; Manuel Manzanares Jr., Bernie Sena Sr., ALyssa Manzanares, Izeyah Manzanares, Bernie Sena Jr., Nathan Sena, Brandon Hernandez and Jerry Mascaranes.

Honorary Pallbearers include; Johnny Lucero Sr., and Elmo Pena.

Cope Memorial Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
