Mona L. (Jones) Dees

Mona L. (Bonnie) Dees, 87, of Farmington, went home to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 16, 2016. She was born on July 5, 1929 in Pomerene, Arizona to LaNore and Ed Jones.
She met Joe T. Dees in Arizona in 1950. It was love at first sight, and they married nine days later. They moved to Aztec, New Mexico in 1954 with their two year old daughter. By 1961, they had a total of four girls and a boy. "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward." Psalm 127:3. She was longtime member of the Eastside Church of Christ.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, her father and mother, a sister, and two sons-in-law. She is survived by her loving children; Debra Yeager of Farmington, Gayl Falconer of Tulsa, Okla., Kathy Dees of Farmington, Cherie Swarts of Farmington, and Bill (Kellie) Dees of Aztec; her brother, Art Jones of Bloomfield; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) Wedemeyer, Kellee Tinker, Jeremy (Leslie) Swarts, Justin (Christina) Swarts, Nickie Fierro, Jessie (Zac) DeHerrera, Krista (Alex) Reibli; 16 great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Kylan, Devin, Paige, Brooke, Nathan, Matthew, Tyler, Riley, Cameron, Lane, Jacob, Devin, Ricky, Zoey, and Ryker.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 20, from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at Brewer, Lee, and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute, Farmington. Services will also be at the funeral home on Thursday, July 21, at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery following the services.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Swarts, Justin Swarts, Nathan Swarts, Alex Reibli, Jacob Arenas, and Kevin Wedemeyer. Honorary pallbearers will be Art Jones, Zac DeHerrera, Cameron Swarts, Matthew Swarts, Devin Carmona, Kylan Wedemeyer, and Devin Arnold.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the Gingerich Home for the Elderly for all of their loving care and attention in the last two and half years for Bonnie.
Bonnie's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee, and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington, 505-325-8688.
