Mildred "Millie" Catherine Dedrick-Gaylor, 93, of Farmington, passed from this life on Thursday, May 7, 2015, with her family by her side. She was born March 22, 1922, in Waterflow, to Bernard and Melvina Wethington.
After graduation she moved to Gallup, where she worked as a Harvey Girl and at the El Rancho Hotel, where she met her first husband, Al Dedrick. They lived in Shiprock before moving to Farmington, in 1966.
Millie worked at Bruce M. Bernard's Trading Post in Shiprock and then retired from Safeway in Farmington.
In 1992, Millie married Dave Gaylor and they traveled, cruised and danced their evenings away.
The family wishes to thank the staff at The Bridge, the ICU staff at San Juan Regional Medical Center, and special thanks goes to Dr. Crider and Dr. Gibbs, for their care of our mother.
Millie was preceded in death by her husbands, Albert Dedrick and David Gaylor; stepdaughter Judy Nott; parents, Bernard and Melvina Wethington; brothers, Manual, Tom, Joseph, Bill, Jim and Sarge; and her sisters, Margaret, Tina and Bernadine. She is survived by her children, Ron (Marilyn) Dedrick, Sherry Edmondson; stepchildren, Janice Reynolds (Joe Hewitt), Betty Saccardo and David Lee Gaylor; brothers, Herman (Sandy) Wethington, Ed Wethington and Jack (Mary) Wethington; sister Pat (Roy) Nickles; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
